The weekend is here, the fridge is full of beer, the wife and kids are safely locked up, I mean, at her mother’s. You just need something to watch over the weekend. Here is what the guys at The Last Movie Outpost have been watching this week, from the good to the bad and the ugly.
- Abbot & Costello Meet Dracula and Frankenstein – Movie – A classic comedy and a classic horror
- Fight or Flight – Movie – Bullet Train if you ordered it from wish.com
- The Last Showgirl – Movie – this wasn’t terrible, but nothing new
- Kiss of the Tarantula – Movie – Thank you to Hawkzino for this, great fun
- Night of the Comet – Movie – Classic ‘zombie’ action with Catherine Mary Stewart
- Heart Eyes – Movie – Comedy horror, not bad, for a fun slasher
- American Dreamer – Movie – Reviewed here
- The Substance – Movie – Good movie, bad story, such a shame
- Doubters to Believers – Documentary – The story of Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool FC football manager. A must for any fan
- Scream and Scream Again (1970) – Movie – A classic horror, which was very entertaining
- Cobra Kai – TV Series – Late to the party, but the last series was very good and a solid ending
- Between Two Ferns – Movie – A funny movie, but the outtakes are funnier
There’s got to be something there for you to enjoy over the weekend.
The Last Showgirl was interesting, but the same old-same-old. Pamela Anderson plays an aging dancer who’s been in a show for the past million years. The show is coming to an end, and she has to come to terms with her future. It was a good movie, but just something we’ve seen before.
Between Two Ferns is worth a watch. The movie is funny, and the series is just as good. As I said, though, the outtakes are very funny.
So what are you watching this weekend? Anything new, something old, something borrowed, something blue? Wait, that’s for a wedding, isn’t it?
