Ah, another Monday. We have to brace ourselves, clench our fists and just get it over with. You all know what Andy Dufrane went through at Shawshank. It’s exactly the same thing, only metaphorical.
As with all Mondays, we have memes below. There’s no theme today, because I’m lazy. The good thing is they are all 100% hang picked for their quality and hilarity. If you don’t like it, there’s still the occasional post over at Ain’t It Cool News.
My moan is the difference between Backrooms and Iron Lung. Both are from YouTubers, but both are so very different! I get they both have passion, but their passion doesn’t equal talent. Just because you believe in something doesn’t mean you should do it. For example, look at some of the delusional singers on talent shows.
A lot of people are praising Iron Lung, and fair play, I do get what Fischbach was trying to do, but it really lacked anything coherent in a story. Also, as I said, the over-the-top camerawork was trying too hard. Compare that to Parsons, who went in the opposite direction and kept all of the camerawork and shot very simple.
One of them makes an interesting movie, which I’m still mulling over in my head, and the other was a snoozefest.
Anyway, it’s Monday, you need to moan, so moan away, then cheer yourself up with these memes. They are funny, laugh at them, or else!
