It’s now only three weeks away, then Supergirl will be storming into the box office. Some people had predicted it will make over $1 gazzilion, and that’s just from the popcorn buckets!
I kid, I kid, no one knows what the numbers will be for Supergirl, but I imagine that people are betting ‘not as much as Obsession or Backrooms’.
Over the next three weeks, we can expect the advertising machine to be in full flow, and we have some character posters for the new movie.
I love the expression on Milly Alcock; she looks as excited as the audience.
The character posters are Alcock as Supergirl, Jason Momoa as Lobo, Eve Ridley as Ruthe Marge Knoll, and Matthias Schoenaert as Yellow Hills. And because James Gunn is involved, there’s also a character poster for the dog.
Craig Gillespie is directing, with Ana Nogueria penning the script. Nogueria is primarily known as an actress, but DC brought her in to write several new projects, including Teen Titans and an untitled Wonder Woman movie.
Supergirl is said to be based on the comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. We confirmed recently that Alcock will be back in Man of Tomorrow.
Supergirl will be in cinemas on the 26th June. Are you excited?
