Joseph Kosinski is having a fairly good run for movies; Tron: Legacy (which I still think is pretty good), Oblivion, Top Gun: Maverick and the up-and-coming F1 movie. It looks like he’s teaming with Jerry Bruckheimer to make a movie about UFO disclosure.
Reports say the movie will be like All the President’s Men, but about the release of UFO evidence. Government conspiracy, aliens, UFOs, documents, what’s not to like?
Deadline has said a former government whistleblower, David Grusch, is on board. He is:
“…a former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer and Pentagon whistleblower who gained attention in 2023 for his claims about the U.S. government’s involvement in unidentified aerial phenomena research.”
In recent years, UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomenon), formally UFOs have gone from conspiracy theories to actual discussions. In recent years, the U.S. Department of Defence has confirmed Naval videos showing “fast-moving objects”.
Grusch spoke up about UFOs in 2023. He claimed that the government had secretly been recording, and studying, “non-human craft”. This sparked more public interest. I’ve always found it weird that the better cameras have got, the less footage you see of UAPs.
There is no news on cast, or a writer, for this UFO movie. If Kosinski and Bruckheimer are involved, it might be worth the wait. In the meantime, both are making F1, starring Brad Pitt, is in cinemas in June.
