THE GORGE Is Intriguing

The Gorge is intriguing. First of all, it is from Apple TV+ who have a very good hit rate. Secondly, it stars Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. Finally, the plot – what we know of it – makes you demand to know more.

Sinister, Doctor Strange, and The Black Phone director Scott Derrickson is in the chair, and he shot from a screenplay from Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War). Principle photography on the movie was completed in the UK late last year.

It is described as a thriller but also blends other genres such as romance, science fiction, action, espionage, and horror. It tells the story of a pair of elite snipers – one American, the other Lithuanian. They are stationed in watchtowers on opposing sides of a vast gorge. The entire area is so highly classified that even they do not know the location of the gorge they are overlooking.

Their purpose there is to safeguard the outside world from undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within the gorge, and they bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy. When a cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together to keep the secret in the gorge before it’s too late.

Sigourney Weaver also stars in the movie. Derrickson, Dean, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, C. Robert Cargill, Sherryl Clark, Adam Kolbrenner and Greg Goodman produce.

Now, the first images from The Gorge have been released.
