There’s not much to say about this video really, it’s just a video of Tom Cruise running. It’s a 9-minute compilation of Ethan Hunt from the Mission: Impossible movies running.
I get tired running a bath. Cruise celebrated his 61st birthday this week, just as he is doing the press tour for Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1. Paramount put together the above video as a birthday present.
His running is almost his trademark now. In all of the Mission: Impossible movies, he has run faster than me chasing an ice cream truck. Someone should work out how many miles he’s run in each of the movies. I’m guessing it’s to the moon and back.
Dead Reckoning is looking to finally be the big summer blockbuster audiences are looking forward to. The Flash and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny are both underperforming. In fact, The Flash is bombing so hard, that over 1,500 cinemas in the US are removing it from showing. This is a bit of a slap in the face to the new head of the DCU, James Gunn. He called the movie:
…“probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.”
We don’t know which movie you saw James, but the audience seemingly disagrees with you, enormously.
It does look like Mission: Impossible is a franchise that we can rely on. I have reviewed Mission: Impossible 1 – 3, and they are all solid movies. I am on to Ghost Protocol, number 4, now and it still holds up. They are still great entertainment. In fact, I would say that all of the Mission: Impossible movies have kept up a consistently high standard. I will review parts 4 – 6 before the weekend.
Matt and I will be going to see Dead Reckoning next week, and both of us will be running to the cinema to review it. Fiver says I love it and Matt hates it, you know, just like normal.
