Zack Snyder Outs 300

You cannot avoid Zack Snyder, no matter how much you would like to. He has a new movie out, The Last Photograph, which has been causing a stir. Critics are slatting the movie, while the Snyderboys are praising it as the new Citizen Kane. It doesn’t matter that they haven’t seen it; it’s the best work he’s done.

It’s so odd that people like Snyder divide the audience so much. You either think he’s the second coming of Christ (for movies) or an overrated hack. I’ve never seen anyone say, ‘He’s OK’.

With all the talk of his newest movie, Snyder has been doing all the interviews. In a recent interview with Variety he stated that he wants you to know he’s no fascist, in fact:

“I made the gayest movie ever made”.

In the interview, Snyder talks about the criticism online of The Last Photograph and how people just don’t like him going into one of his movies.

After the first screening of 300 in Berlin, he was called a fascist, a homophobe, and told that he sucks. He said:

“300” is one of the gayest movies ever made. I always go, “Look, there are few movies where people come in straight and come out gay, and ‘300’ is one of them.”

I saw 300 again recently, and I don’t remember ‘coming out’ afterwards. I’ve got a photo of Sydney Sweeney on my phone; how can I be gay?

Is Snyder right? Is 300 the gayest movie ever? I fear there is a can of worms about to be opened, but then, we’re all here for the chat!
