Henry Cavill has been long-rumored to be up for taking a place in the ongoing MCU. He has frequently been mentioned as a potential Captain Britain. Now a fairly surprising story has appeared out there, on the internet, as a “scoop”. This scoop was highlighted to us by a long-time friend of the Last Movie Outpost. As usual, this is completely unsubstantiated so this gets treated as such. Accordingly, as is Outpost tradition, it gets one of these:
According to Giant Freakin’ Robot, a source has revealed who Cavill will play, and where he will turn up. This source has previously proved itself trustworthy through previously obtained information about Guardian’s Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.
According to this source, Henry Cavill will appear in Deadpool & Wolverine as a multiverse variant of Wolverine, and he is seen wearing a long brown coat when he shows up.
The fact that Cavill appears in a multiverse shenanigan would not rule him out of taking on a different role in the future. A former Superman moving to Marvel, just before a new Superman lands in the DCU, could be interesting.
Cavill also has Warhammer 40,000 on the radar at Amazon, and those Bond rumors won’t die any time soon.
