The little streamer that could may be about to do it again. The stealth streamer that is Apple TV just keeps churning out winner after winner, with some quite staggering talent involved. The latest project from them is an upcoming limited series Lucky. This stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Timothy Olyphant.
Lucky follows a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.
It co-stars Annette Bening, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Clifton Collins Jr., Drew Starkey, William Fichtner and Mo McRae.
It is based on Marissa Stapley’s New York Times bestselling novel. It was adapted by Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas, who also serve as showrunners. Other Executive Producers include Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter. Tropper and Pappas are coming off Your Friends and Neighbors and Silo, respectively, also at Apple TV.
The first two episodes of Lucky drop on July 15th, then it rolls weekly.
