Reacher will be returning a lot faster than last time around, with season 3 already in production around Toronto. Some new members of the cast are confirmed.
Anthony Michael Hall (Bosch: Legacy, and every other movie in the 80s) and Sonya Cassidy (Lodge 49) have signed on for roles that are apparently key in the new season.
The third series of the Amazon Prime Video smash hit was recently confirmed to be based on Lee Child’s novel Persuader. This was the seventh book in his long-running and multi-million-selling series of Jack Reacher novels.
In this story, Reacher is continuing his lone and wandering ways around middle America when he inadvertently witnesses an attempted kidnapping and instinctively intervenes. This escalates quickly as he finds himself embroiled in a complex DEA operation to infiltrate and take down a notorious drug trafficker named Zachary Beck.
Beck operates from a heavily fortified lakeside mansion, and Reacher is en route. However, Reacher has his own agenda. Beck’s security chief is Francis Xavier Quinn, a former military police officer like Reacher. The two share a troubled past that includes a dead woman and a score to be settled.
Hall will play lead villain Beck, and Cassidy will play DEA agent Susan Duffy. They join regular cast Alan Ritchson as Reacher and Maria Sten as Frances Neagley.
No release date has yet been announced for the third season.
