MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN Trailer

Throughout pretty much the entire Keaton – Kilmer – Clooney run of Batman, potentially the best overall iteration of Batman on the screen was from Batman: The Animated Series. It ran for ’85 episodes, from 1992 to 1995, and still stands up today. It was followed by the shorter, but just as good Superman: The Animated Series. As we gear up for a new take on both Batman and Superman as part of the new DCU, will an animated Superman show deliver again for us?

Adult Swim has released the official trailer for My Adventures With Superman. This is a new animated series that portrays a younger Superman entering adulthood and starting to build his life and career in Metropolis. Hold up… wasn’t this what Superman: Legacy was supposed to cover? Is this a complimentary piece and an animated prequel? Or just more of the same confused timeline mess from Warner Bros. and DC?

The story follows Clark as he builds his secret identity as Superman, starts work at the Daily Planet, and explores his own mysterious origins. Lois, already a reporter and on her way to the top, teams up with Kent and photographer Jimmy Olsen to break big stories in Metropolis. The biggest of those stories? The sudden appearance of a flying superhuman in a cape. In the course of these adventures, Clark and Lois are falling in love just as Lois gets closer and closer to uncovering the identity of the flying hero.

Superman
Yay! Gen-Z / Millennials acting like they are on Star Trek Discovery!

The series stars Jack Quaid as the voice of Clark Kent/Superman along with Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. So what’s the look, feel, and general vibe of the show? Well, check out the trailer:

Oh… no.

My Adventures With Superman will debut two episodes back-to-back on Thursday, July 6th. A new episode will then be released weekly each Thursday. All episodes will be released the next day on Max.
