Lionsgate has just released the second trailer for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The prequel is based on Suzanne Collins’ novel of the same name.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes book details the younger years of President Coriolanus Snow, previously played by Donald Sutherland and now played by Tom Blyth.
Set during the 10th Annual Hunger Games, Snow is a student mentor, paired with the female tribute from District 12, a folksinger named Lucy Gray Baird who is played by everyone’s favourite feminist mouthpiece, Rachel Zegler.
As per usual in this day and age, the film relies on vast amounts of CGI that quite frankly, makes this film look like a collection of cut scenes from a PS5 game. The good news though, is that you get a teaser trailer to let you know you’re about to watch the trailer. Win!
Oh, here’s a new shiny poster for you too.
